The 12 Days of Christmas Props.

This tradition began with our two families, who gathered every Christmas Eve to celebrate. Each year the children took turns leading a holiday activity—reading a story, saying the prayer, or leading a sing-along. In 1988, it was Amy’s turn. She showed up at Melissa’s house with a bag full of props and an idea that would change our holiday forever.

Each person drew a number, matching one of the days in the song The Twelve Days of Christmas. Soon the room was filled with laughter as everyone stood to act out their gifts from their “true love.” From that moment on, the tradition stuck—and over the years it has grown, spreading across generations and gatherings.

Now, we’re sharing this joy with you. Whether you are a group of 2 or 202, inside each box you will find the props you need to start your own 12 Days of Christmas tradition. While singing a cappella or along with your favorite recording of this classic carol, year after year you can continue to use this keepsake box and all of the props. We hope it brings as much laughter and togetherness to your celebrations as it has to ours.
